Theater Mode Question

Was wondering what is the state of theater mode being functional here?
The servers on Xbox have been bugged/down for a long time after 11 years..Would like some insight u would have of what technicalities is required for it to work and why might they cant support it for themselves anymore, without the simple explanation of 'its an old game?' (I know how to find active lobbies pretty easy, i argued with support for a while & they dont even know what im talking about)
I made countless amazing videos utilizing all the features and the game is pretty much spoiled to me without it.. simple HDR is not enough..

JezuzLizard is theater an additional server thing that u have to pay for?
theres no way to just get it to work myself through codes or something? -
OnlyGreatPlayer no it's not, it just doesn't work right now. the plan is to fix it in the future.

Dss0 so why would u presume the actual game couldnt no longer support this feature? -And never answer any questions about it? its certainly not a money issue.

OnlyGreatPlayer what? we didn't remove it on purpose or anything lol. The game no longer uses activision's servers so some features will not work until we write code to emulate them. the way theater works in t5 is that the dedicated server records the match and uploads it to demonware as soon as the match ends, players can then download it via the theater menu. now there is no connection to demonware so it doesn't have anywhere to upload the recorded data to, that's where we have to reverse engineer how the uploading works and write our own code for it.

Dss0 interesting thanks, what i meant by 'the real game' was the xbox servers.. would u have any speculation as to why they dont support the feature or answer any questions about it..
also how long do u think it will take to write this code you speak of out?

OnlyGreatPlayer no idea, they probably don't answer questions because they already decided they won't fix it and are annoyed by people asking constantly.
i can't tell you how long it'll take, right now our devs are working on other stuff. -
