I dont have the "friends list" and "network" in my f10 or home prompt

so me and my friend are trying to join eachother without doing a server, but when we both click f10 it only says server nothing else please help we did all the requirements like following each other. Please help A S A P

i understand that but i do not have the overlay of "friends list" and even if the built in works it says join session failed, I am trying to play black ops 2 zombies which is T6, my question and problem is the fact that the overlay sint there and when we do try to invite each other via the activision system it says "joining game session failed" i just need help

Saint.323 you could try just joining the same server in the server browser.

Saint.323 there is no friends overlay forget it it's just the built-in friend list.
Did you watch the gifs/videos at the top of the guide? You need to create a party and make sure the group is opened.
If it doesn't work you can tell your friend to invite you instead
If nothing works check your firewall and if that doesn't open port 3074 (UDP) on your router -
can you get in a discord call with us? jsut to see how it works we really dont know how to do the port and upnp even though its open

Saint.323 t6 doesn't use upnp anymore, it works just like it would on steam now. If you still can't connect try forwarding port 3074 udp: https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-port-forward-4163829
