Friend has high ping

I have a friend from Ohio who has high ping whenever he gets into a custom game, he also cannot can't join a game on the server browser. I live in Illinois so I'm not sure if it can be a distance problem.

thats definitely a more general issue, i suggest he looks into his settings in game and see if everythings alright, playing windowed fucked up my ping so i switched to fullscreen and it fixed it
