Steam wont read XB1 controller.

I recently downloaded plutonium and i didnt realize i did not a have built in Bluetooth adapter so i was trying to figure it out how to play it wired. But my PC wont read the controller on steam in Big Screen mode so i was wondering if anyone could help a brother out.
