Unable to connect to bo 2 online services in the middle of a zombies game

This seems to be a recurring issue, it doesn't happen so often as to make it impossible to play zombies, but it happens often enough that it discourages me from wanting to push for high rounds or trying to do any easter egg. I was just doing origins easter egg solo, and mid-way through I got disconnected losing like a good few hours of progress and making my blood pressure skyrocket and making me entirely lose faith in the T6 client. This is all thanks to BO 2's stupid design not having a local solo zombies mode, but rather online only. Is there any way to fix this and prevent it from ever happening because until then I'm not sure if I'll ever want to attempt the easter egg again until I'm sure this won't happen. Some people mentioned the redacted client, but others said it can cause conflicts with plutonium, someone said the client itself is prone to crashes, and the redacted client's website says that it only works with the steam version of BO 2, which I don't have.
So far it has happened 2 times to me, once at a random time in a co op zombies match, and once while I was trying to do the easter egg on origins solo. There seems to be no specific trigger, it just occurs at the most random time possible.
