Friends can't join my game

I have upnp enabled and the port 4976 is port forwarded on my router control panel. But when I create a custom game and start it, my friends cannot join. We've tried with the friend list and the connect option but none of them work. I checked my port on a port checker and it says that the port is NOT OPEN. How can I fix this??
