When I try to change the resolution on WaW it crashes my whole pc.

Crashes your whole PC? Weird. Anyways try going to %localappdata%/Plutonium/storage/t4/players and opening plutonium.cfg (and plutonium_mp.cfg) -> find r_mode, change the value to whatever res you want, hit save and close them. Try launching the game again.
