Extreme Frame Drop when looking at center of maps.

Basically I have no problem navigating menus or servers. Once I get into a game however my frames drop to single digits and I cannot play. My frames increase to at least 60fps if I stare at the map borders away from the map center. One other person has had this same issue from what I can find but no replies were given. Please help, thanks.
