In the "Custom games with friends" tutorial the guide tells me to "Forward the port that is shown to you in the network tab in your router" what does this mean?

I am trying to do a custom game of zombies with my friends and I am having issues with understanding what im supposed to do to get the game to work. I followed the instructions in the article provided but im not sure what port to forward once ive followed the instructions.

Alocaster the port shown to you in the network tab in-game. By default this is 4976 udp.
