Two computers running same wifi trying to play....

Me and my brother have been trying to play plutonium together and it seems to not work while running off the same wifi. It usually works on steam games when I do +client port xxxxx so I was wondering if I could somehow implement this into the launcher! Any help will be nice!!!!
