    Hi,

I am the T6 (Black Ops 2) Plutonium representative for V3X clan and our affiliated servers. As discussed in our meeting today, we are having an issue with players wanting to 1v1 each other, and with that, the players ask the other players to leave the server entirely. On our servers, asking players to leave such that it empties the specific server is a permanently bannable offense. To circumvent this, we would like to request a server modification configurable by server administration that allows players to !challenge <player_name> <weapon_type>
!challenge would be the command to initiate the 1v1.
<player_name> would be the name of the player to be challenged in the 1v1 by the player issuing command !challenge.
<weapon_type> would be the allowed weapon type during the 1v1, such as knife, sniper, pistol, etc. Perhaps these should be set weapons, such as both players automatically given ballistas, or DSRs. Knife could give players an empty pistol with the tactical knife attachment, or ballistic knives, or regular knives.
By default, maybe the !challenge (1v1) should be a best of 3, with winner (potentially) given rewards in the form of stats: skill being awarded to the winner?
These are just ideas, and we welcome any discussion following this post. Thank you to Plutonium developers and players for your continued support, and we hope to see you on our servers soon!

    Best,

    [V3X] Skewby_Dew, on behalf of V3X clan.

I do recommend trying to flesh out this idea a bit more since I already have a few questions.

      • How will 1 v 1s be enforced? Will players not in the 1 v 1 be able to damage players in a challenge? Or will the other players be forced into spectator so they can watch the 1 v 1?

      • What gametypes would it support? FFA type gamemodes seem like the only type that would make sense.

I can see if I can get you in touch with skilled modders who would be interested in taking up this project(they may request payment).

JezuzLizard Hi, sorry for the late reply!

For your first question, like in CoD4, I would recommend a protected area outside of the playable map with a ring of fire circling the players, which marks an invisible boundary that you can not pass, but also doesn't damage players.

Players should not be forced to spectate the 1v1, but should be able to if they so choose simply by changing teams to spectator.

It should be able to be issued no matter the current game mode of the server, I'm thinking the 1v1 would be a deathmatch itself.

Skewby_Dew Well if you have a good idea of how you would want it done, I can try to see if someone would be interested in making this mod for you.

JezuzLizard I'm not too knowledgeable when it comes to creating mods, I've just never done it before. I would need help figuring out how to do it which I am more than welcoming to devoting my time to learning and developing this.
If that doesn't answer your question, maybe this will: The way I want it done is so any player can invoke the command and then the user being challenged will be notified and can accept or decline using !yes/!y and !no/!n respectively! Keep in touch! I'll be here and thank you so much for your help and for your time! ❤ 😄
