Leveling up problem

I would like to level up my account and weapons from the beggining, like when I was a kid, but there is a problem. I'm able to level up my account, but the weapons stay locked in level 1 and it doesn't get any xp.
I know I can unlock everything, but thats not what I want. If there is any way to solve this problem, please help me.
