Devs please read me out before telling me a straight no
I'm extremely grateful for the BO2 and WaW game clients. Without them I wouldn't be able to play with all my friends, because I have a steam account with the games and dlcs buyed that I share with all of them, so we all play together with a legal copy of the games but in the plutonium client. We do the same thing with BO1 but in the T5M (Rekt) client.
We all have been wanting to play BO3 zombies together because of the custom maps, but the situation with this game on PC is just ridiculous.
Unlike BO2-BO1 or WaW that you can find the base game or dlcs in a considerable price (in websites that sell game keys, not Steam cause Activision prices are just ridiculous even on "discount") knowing how old these games are. The price of BO3 on steam or even in other websites is always +$40 on sale without a single dlc. So if just me buying the game on my account is very unlikely knowing that I cannot play with my buddies because there's no custom client, there's no way on earth all my friends are gonna buy the game just to play together.. Theres probably many people in the same situation.
Also we all know that the playerbase of old CODs on steam is almost inexistent, theres like 10 people playing on each of them lol. Other downside I read is that you can get hacked pretty easily on official BO3 servers.I would be extremely happy if a BO3 client is made.
I would assure you a lot of people are wanting this for a long time and would support the idea! -
imendezr Plutonium is not a cracking group so "prices are high" isn't an argument to make them work on a game for several months especially to get it shut down within a few months after release.
A client is not a way to play the game for free. Plutonium just did it but it could be removed at any time since it's not what a client is for at all. For example SM2 requires people to buy MW2 because their goal, just like most of the clients is not to provide free games. Months/years of work have been put into this and considering this a "free crack" is almost an insult to everything that has been done..Just search for "BO3" and you'll see hundreds of answers even some recent and I'm pretty sure the staff didn't change their mind within 3 days.
