Hook1234 that tutorial is a little outdated. simply hit "play" in the main menu, that will get you to solo/private match (those are the same thing now).
Also in his tutorial he puts the "maps" folder of the mod into a folder called "t6r" in the game folder, this does still work atm but might stop working in the future, the new folder to use for that is %localappdata%/Plutonium/storage/t6/.
