Are there general rules of thumb to joining servers? I don't mean about cheating or locked and unlocked servers, I'm more or less referring to do you have to be a part of clans or anything to join the servers on MP? Can anyone join any of the unlocked servers? How does it work here; to broaden the question a bit.

MaouRhystis anyone can host a server with any rule. As long as you respect the server rules you should be able to join any public server. Just make sure to understand the gamemode and the rules. This can probably be found with a command like !rules once you're connected to the server
