Controller help

I set up my nintendo pro controller (for switch) and downloaded the x360ce emulator, and everything was detecting and reading fine. I got the controller to work for zombies, but there's one issue. I can't sprint. Also, it won't let me change any control settings (I wanted to reassign "sprint" to a different button to see if that did anything) but it won't let me assign different actions to different buttons. Help please!
