How did you guys do it?

So I've been digging around and cant find many answers. How were these games created and in particular I've been loving IW5. How were assets from other games used in the game. Is it possible to get other asset into the game such as other guns and maps from the other games? I'm a huge nerd so if anyone cares to explain I'd love to learn about it.

buds115 All maps/weapons were ported using the zonetool. If you join the Plutonium discord and look in #mw3-modding you'll see some things that a few people have ported (you don't need to be any special person to be able to port things).
If you're wanting a guide, there is one but it is way outdated (with no organisation of folders and no iw5_images folder to shrink down the size of the IWD)
