How can I pause a zombies game??

Hey, I want to know if there is some way to pause a zombies game because sometimes my friends have to go a moment and I have to wait with the last zombie until they come back again.
I have been trying a method that I saw on the forum, it says that you have to put on the console "cl_timeout 3600" (to set the seconds before the game kicks you out) and then when you are in the game you put "sv_running 0", then you have 3600 to put again "sv_running 1" and afterwards the game should continue but I tried that and when you put "sv_running 1" the game just keep freezed...So, If someone can tell me another method to pause the game, I would be pleased.
