Online not working

90% of the time i try to play online the game just says "connecting to online service" but never works even after restarting my network, my pc and the application. Not sure what's causing this exactly but do you know of a fix? I just wanna play zombies online with some friends :).
Bit of extra info:
One thing that sometimes works is if my brother and I close the game and click "online" simultaneously but im not sure why we need to do this at the same time for it to work- perhaps the servers think its the same pc trying to log on twice (since we both connect to the same router) so when one pc is on already the other can't join?
