do I need to have bo2 downloaded on steam?

I bought black ops 2 on steam already and Ive downloaded plutonium with no issues, do I need to have the campaign downloaded as well if I only want to play multiplayer and zombies?

Cryogeyser you either need multiplayer and zombies from Steam or the torrent we provide. The campaign is not needed
