LAN not working

My friend and I are on the same router, our computers can see and ping each other.

What we are doing: One of us gets as far into creating a Private match as you can without starting the match.

When the other tries the following commands:

connect <local_ip>:<port>
connect :<port>
connect <public_ip>:<port>

nothing happens.

Also tried double clicking each other's names in 'Friends' list in the overlay. Nothing happens.

Windows Firewall rules were created on both computers.
Bitdefender Firewall rules were created on both computers.

What else can we try?

Error: "You need at least two people in the lobby to start the match"
