How do you go online in WaW with a mod loaded?

I've been trying to play dead_ship with my friend but I'm offline and I want to go online except for when I try pressing "Go online" It won't do anything. Can somebody inform me what to do in this situation?

Pvt. Gabriel Hosting a custom game with or without a mod is the same thing, you start a solo game and he joins. We don't use the World at War profile system. As long as you launch the game through the Plutonium launcher and as long as you're connected to the internet you are online, ignore what the game says.
The only thing that changes is that you both have to install the mod/map and have the exact same files with the same size/name etc
