I can't go online in BO2

Hello I have everything installed everything works without worries but once I am on the home menu and I want to play online with a friend I cannot go online I have an error message: "THe call Of Duty: Black Ops II server is not available at this time Please try again later or visit http://www.callofduty.com/blackops2/status for updates
