Plutonium black screens when I double click a server

I have not played for a while but decided to play for the first time in about a month. I launch the game then double click a server. It goes completely black and does not come up with the usual loading screen of the multiplayer map. I have tried multiple times and left it to 'load' for at least 30 mins. What can I do to fix this?
