Freezing when connecting to server on multiplayer

Hi, I have been having this problem where I try to connect to a multiplayer server on BO2 and my whole computer freezes and in order to use my computer again I have to completely restart it. Any tips or suggestions?

Let the server list finish to load before joining a server.
Also you don't have to restart your PC you could just ALT TAB or use the task manager to kill the task
