i have to reset my fov every time a game starts because it will not save "cg_fovscale 1.5" I have tried changing all folders from read-only, and running everything as admin, no use. I was wondering if a fix is not availabe if there is a file somewhere i can write this change to myself?

You could probably write a script file to run and have it do cg_fovscale 1.5 on starting games

or you can use a keybind to just press when you log into a game.

@GOLD3N4RM setting up a macro is more trouble than just typing it in tbh but I was hoping since their solution was to change folders from read-only they could point me to the file it writes to so i can change it manually

illuminerdy you can also try the following command:
              bind k cg_fovscale 1.5
