Game randomly freezes or semi-crashes when selecting a class to edit

So I love MW3 so much, I want to level up through the game without unlockall and stuff. However, when I pick to edit a class once I unlock something new, there's a chance it will just randomly freeze and sometimes I have to force the game to close and re-open. I'm not sure if anyone else is experiencing this problem, but it's been a pet peeve when I was doing this grind.

Never experienced this and never saw a report of something similar.
- What is your antivirus?
- What is
com_maxfpsvalue in the console? Screenshot it - Do you have any script/mod installed? If you have a mod is it running?
- Are you editing your class in the multiplayer menu or in a private match? If you try both is there one that's causing the issue or is it both?
- Try playing in windowed borderless instead of fullscreen
- Try to repair your game

IHateBlackOps4 Repairing game files will help as Resxt said, but if there's nothing you can do, just unlockall. Has this issue happened to you before, like several days ago? Did you use Plutonium's method of installing MW3?

@ivanovich_ I was using third party MW3 files, but now I'm using the steam files minus the DLC. I'll let you guys know if I encounter the bug again.

IHateBlackOps4 maybe that’s the problem. You aren’t using the files from plutonium torrent or from steam. Getting the game files from other websites will ruin the game files.

IHateBlackOps4 that's probably the problem. Did you use the files from nosteam (or used TeknoMW3 patch for MP to work)? If so, then just use the Plutonium's method. That way, you won't encounter any bugs.

@ivanovich_ I think I used the TeknoMW3 method when I use to play on there. Funny thing is I own the full MW3 on steam minus the DLC but I didn't set it to the steam directory for some reason. Unfortunately I've encounter this bug again, so I'm just sticking with my main 15th prestige stats, classes, and etc. =|
I would try to show you guys what I'm talking about but it's like capturing lightning in a bottle, however it happens the most after I play a game, on a server or in private match.

IHateBlackOps4 TeknoMW3 files are older and not particularly supported. They can work, but you'll encounter bugs like the one with classes (the one you have), the one where you cannot change the map in Private game (the one I have), and so on. Use the method provided in the guide, and you won't encounter any of the aforementioned bugs, or just go on with the one you have, it's up to you.
I think you can probably transfer the game files with all the prestiges, but that's for a different topic.EDIT: Not particularly sure if I got the directory right (Admins, please correct me if I am wrong), but I found mpdata file in the following folder:
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Plutonium\storage\demonware\18409\user (the last number may vary) -
@ivanovich_ Nah, I'm already using the steam files now. But even with that I'm still getting that class hitch bug though.
