Combat Training lag

When i first installed plutonium on monday, i played with a friend of mine against bots in combat training, we had fun playing for a few hours and we had normal fps and could play through multiple maps just fine, but after 3 or so hours we suddenly started getting lag whenever we tried joining each other, and we've consistently had the same issues since then. I originally thought it was my personal internet but i've been connecting via discord and other stuff pretty well. We know it isn't due to us being in different countries cause my friend played with another of our friend and they live in the same country and they still had the same problem as we do. Does anyone know if there are issues on the server side or if it's just something we messed with in the settings.

You are using a T5 server to run combat training? I was unaware that this was possible. Are you playing with plutonium or launching the game through steam?

sjakedude we're playing through plutonium, it's the reason we started playing because of hackers and cheaters on the regular games

any updates/fixes on this? currently still an issue
