Chance of VAC by re-naming and swapping EXEs
-
I know that Plutonium uses their own servers than steam however I own the actual copy of MW3 + DLCs and wanted it to clock hours via STEAM however.. I had to rename the original exe and use that name for Plutonium's exe just so steam could register that I have the game open. (I had to place Plutonium into my steam directory where the game is installed) My issue or concern here is that I had just re-named the legitimate exe and swapped it with a third-party. Could this cause a VAC? or because I am not "actually" playing said game, it won't use the VAC system when I have said game open to clock hours? Just want to be safe since I already have 1 VAC on my account (MW2 which is like 3,000 days old) due to file modifications.. granted I did have some fun with friends in modded lobbies and got reported by them.
EDIT: Spelling error as well as forgot to mention this was put into my game folder.

This issue was fixed with the last update, you do not need this trickery anymore.
Launch plutonium normally with Steam open and it will track the hours now.
