DLC's work for solo play but not online

Hello, I bought Black Ops one and only downloaded the DLC. The DLC works when I do solo play but whenever I try to play on a server it says that I don't have these DLC installed and I need to buy it from steam. Any suggestions how to fix?

Why does it sound like you are trying to use the DLC files on steam?

I didn't buy the DLC I got them through plutonium. But whenever I try to play them online it kicks me out. When I play a solo match on zombies the maps work fine.

TreeDirt This isn't how Steam works. There are checks to prevent people from just downloading the files and playing the maps when not owning the DLCs. If you want to play with the dlcs with other people you need to use Plutonium.

You can't just download files to pirate Steam DLCs otherwise everyone would do that already. I don't recommend trying to crack DLCs on Steam

Resxt I’ve been using the plutonium launcher for all of this. I ended up just deleting the steam version and got the torrented version and it all worked fine after that. In the guide for bo1 I thought it said you could just download the dlc from there if you have the base game. Thank you for the help guys!

Plutonium writes instructions for Plutonium yeah. We say that if you use your Steam files on Plutonium then in order to play DLCs you can buy them on Steam or use our DLCs torrent. We don't help or write docs for Steam players playing on Steam

If it doesn't work then why is it still there for people to download? I just tried downloading it but it doesn't work. Removing this part of the installation instructions would be a good thing to do. It's just misleading and it has wasted my time.
