Why aren't Steam hours tracked when you replace the original exe with the plutonium launcher?
-
When I used Plutonium for BO2 I replaced the exe in the game directory and launched it from Steam, which worked to track hours.
When I do the same for WAW, the Steam overlay and everything appear and it does seem to work. But the hours reset upon closing the game.
Is there any way around this? I don't really care about the reasoning, I just like to be able to track hours played.

Pistakilla That kind of worked, but it's inconsistent. I played for a while and my hours went from 10.1 to 10.8 which made sense. Then I played again in the exact same way and they went from 10.8 to 10.5. Do you know what causes the inconsistency? Is it the fact that Plutonium also uses the Steam overlay?
Edit: I got on for less than 5 minutes and they dropped from 10.5 to 10.2. tf?

Okay, I figured it out. The hours keep ticking up fine until you launch the vanilla game. Once you launch the game they go all the way back down to how many hours you actually have on the vanilla game, so in my case 10.1. Is there any way to alleviate this other than never launch the vanilla game?

If you launch plutonium normally from our launcher with steam open it will track the hours.
None of the previous workarounds should be attempted. We fixed it on our side. -
This is my status on Steam 'Friends' tab when I launch pluto WAW for example:

FutureRave Steam tracks hours when I'm playing on Plutonium, however when I restart my Steam or PC, it always resets to 1 minute, not using any workaround, any way to fix this?

I guess not. I don't play with Steam open.
