Sound cuts out 1 second after launching.

after launching the game, the sound works fine for about 1 second but it freezes and stops sound after a bit of a delay. it doesnt only just stop sound for bo1 but also for everything outside of bo1 while i have it open. ive checked everything on my computer but nothing is out of the ordinary (mixer, output settings (pc and bo1), even tried booting the steam version and it works) , i dont get this issue on bo2 or mw3.
