BO1 zombies cutscenes lag like crazy, but gameplay is smooth. Any fix?

When I play a map with a cutscene like Five or Call of the Dead, the cutscene lags, stutters, stops and skips around insanely bad. Then once the cutscene finishes, it’s just a black screen for about a minute and then it finally loads up and the gameplay is smoother than butter. I don’t understand why pre-rendered cutscenes which are really just video files would lag so much, and yet the gameplay is totally fine? Is there any fix for this?

Personally I have had no problems with this but it could be down to your Quality settings or maybe a corrupted file in your game files. What I would recommend would be to Verify Integrity of game files or Uninstall and Install. If you are unsure on how to Verify Integrity of game files for Steam Game follow this format.
Go to Steam > Library > Right click on chosen game (in this case its BO1) > Properties > Local Files > Then choose the option Verify Integrity of game files...

The problem there is I don’t have it installed from steam. I downloaded the plutonium torrent game for BO1. Would verifying on steam still help at all?

No it would do nothing just try Uninstalling and Reinstalling the game
