Controller is registering as a MNK, No Aim Assist Either

I plugged in my controller and it's using some config from steam where it was designed to browse the web, only problem was that it wasn't registering it as a controller in-game instead as a keyboard and mouse. Any help with steam controller problems ?

Did you configure Steam properly or exit Steam completely? Did you read the controllers doc?
