Being unable to join most multiplayer servers on BO2 Zombies.
-
Hello there! I have recently discovered the Plutonium Launcher, and being somewhat familiar with BO2 Zombies, I decided to download it and revisit the game some more. I got the game from the Torrent link provided by the Plutonium website itself, and the version of the launcher is r3417. It was running pretty well. Solo games were fine, and so were Custom matches (albeit with occasional hiccups). It was doing well up until the Server Browser part. I'll explain what's happening.
For whatever reason, my game REFUSES to join like 95% of the servers. I always get sent back to the title screen with the "Error. You have been disconnected from the Call of Duty: Black Ops II servers." error message. So far I only joined 3 games and I don't even know how and why they worked... but other servers just don't work. As for the invitation part... when I get invited into a game, I get in the lobby just fine. But when the game starts and it loads, I time out. And when I host a game, I am able to join EXCEPT for the people I invite. It's really annoying and crushes one of the fun aspects about playing Zombies: being able to play with friends! I thought it might have to do with the loading times, since even the Solo games take a lot of time to load, but it might be something else entirely. It might be my connection, since it's a bit weak... but I wouldn't be able to join those 3 matches I talked about. If you have any idea about what's happening, feel free to tell me. I really, really want to be able to play online anytime. -
maxesreal You have 90 seconds to load into a match before you timeout due to taking too long to load. This doesn't apply to games you host though.
Some servers might have increased the timeout to be shorter or longer which might be why you can join some servers.

Ah, it makes sense. But that would mean I need to get a better internet provider to solve that problem... and I don't really got money for Optic Fiber internet. Seems like I am stuck in Solo play then. Thank you for responding
