@TahjGad876 how exactly would a batch file be safer than my program, which if you didn't look at the source code, does the same thing as those batch files, but combined into one gui

JugAndDoubleTap can we play fully offline lan with people with this launcher? and please if we cant please find a way to enable it. good work sir.

Soap029 its possible with plutonium build 2905, but black ops 1 does not work on that build
it could be possible on newer builds if i set it up to have an option to host a dedicated server on the gui, but then it would require an active internet connection to the outside world, and give people even more of a reason to call this malware i can look into it though -

JugAndDoubleTap How would I go about setting this up on a steam deck? Couldn’t help but notice it says works on SD. I’ve just got one and pretty much brand new to PC gaming. I’m tech savvy enough to be able to set it up as I have plutonium on my laptop, I just can’t be bothered jumping through a bunch of hoops. I just want to be able to play MW3 completely offline against bots. Don’t care for online at all. Will I have to install windows for this/plutonium to work? Or can I just put steam deck into desktop mode and install plutonium and the lan launcher? I know I’m asking for a lot lol but if you care enough to give me a brief rundown, on what the easiest way to go about this full process on the steam deck would be, then I’d appreciate it greatly. I was thinking I’d have to download windows (which I’m hesitant of) which would make all of this pretty straightforward after the fact I’m just wondering if there’s a way where I don’t need to do that basically. In an ideal world I’d love to just be able to do this on steam OS and not having to toy around with my new device potentially breaking it in the process. As I said I simply just want to play mw3 against bots offline, and have done since the games release lol. Every guide on YouTube etc for plutonium on deck points me towards dual booting which I’d rather not do.

CaliMcCoist the easiest way to set it up on SD would be to install lutris from the discover/flatpak hub
then install the wine prefix for plutonium located at https://lutris.net/games/call-of-duty-black-ops-ii/
then you would add a new game to lutris, select lanlauncher.exe and select the prefix you installed
i personally also use lutris-7.2.2-x86_64 as the wine version to run it -
Worked, thanks.

Brother. You are literally the GOAT. FINALLY. I was tired of having two copies of BO2 (one with plutonium and the other without). This works flawlesly. 1000/10, would recommend.

JugAndDoubleTap what would be the best way to send donations to you? thank you very, very much. my commenting on this thread has been long overdue
oh, and are you on discord? add me if you are, username: 9trykai. figure it'd be easier to communicate that way

Can we add launch options or something like that with the app in steam so that we launch the games directly from steam with one click
-
i needed this

Does lanlauncher interfere with scripts? The only mods I can get working are the ones that go in the mods folder and then get activated from the in-game mod menu. Anything that requires putting files in the scripts folder don't work for me

Markoh7750 yeah i might be able to add launch options to it, i have not had much free time lately and i want to redo the entire codebase because it is quite bad, so that may come a bit later
