Bo1 Bot Warfare Crash

I have the most recent bot warfare version from the website, it shows up in my mods folder in game and when I select it to launch it kicks me to the desktop and only has the command window open and i can't slick on anything till i force close the command window.
Any help would be appreciated or point me in the right direction.

did you try having your game in windowed borderless? fullscreen is kinda bad on older games

I can't find the setting to change it to that, or is it a console command?
