@fugazi_ you cannot force the gpu to just have more usage. If the gpu doesnt get utilized to 99% there is a cpu/ram bottleneck.
Keep in mind that the game is hella old so it cannot use all of your cpu, it only uses a few cores. Thats why it only uses 5% even though youre being bottlenecked by it.

Trying to force an old game to use 100% of your PC is stupid.
The PC uses whatever it needs. Also infinite FPS is useless

Resxt I'm not trying to force it. I was just wondering if there's a good reason for low usage and if there is how I could work around it.

@fugazi_ I don't think you understand how games work. There's no reason why you would want your GPU to be at 100% on purpose. This is a very old game, why would your GPU be at maximum capacity when it can handle it just fine at 20%? Like idk how to explain it. Your game runs fine only using 20% of its power and you want it to use 80 more % for hours and hours for no gain

Resxt I don't think you understand. 333fps is needed for landing in spots in infected. My PC should be perfectly capable of reaching this (i've spoke to other people with similar specs who can reach this just fine), but instead i'm hovering around 250fps, even thought my GPU usage is only 30-40%. If you don't understand this then there's no point in me even talking to you.

@fugazi_ so what you want is 333FPS, not higher GPU usage.
If it's a software problem then try to cap FPS to 0 or 333, see if there's any difference
Also make sure vsync is off and that there's no system wide FPS cap like in Nvidia for example

Resxt It's nothing like that. I sometimes reach 333fps (when I look at the sky for example), but I would prefer it to be more consistent. It's probably something to do with it being an old game that can't utilise my components but idk if there's a way to make it better.
