Cant join friend in WaW zombies

my friend has his UPnP enabled and can host a private session, but whenever I try to double click his name in the plutonium overlay, nothing happens. Do I also need to have my UPnP enabled? cuz I don't really know my router's account

Only the person that hosts need to have forwarded ports, upnp is just an automated way of forwarding ports, it could be that he can't even forward ports at all due to not having his own public ipv4 address.
Without detailed knowledge about his set-up its hard to tell anything. Its probably the easiest to see if his ISP has some guides on the hardware they give out to their customers.

UPnP is not reliable. Port forward like our doc explains.
