When I open the game, it stays on 'connecting' and doesn't exit that screen

When I enter Black Ops 1, it gets stuck on an infinite 'connecting' screen, and no matter what I do, it doesn't exit that screen. Several errors appear in the console, but one of them is this: 'Com_ERROR: Online Ranked Stats found, expecting Basic Training stats.'
