I know i'm a bit late, but i've tried every normal method to have my friends join my custom zombies game in waw and it wont work. Plz help.

hello, recently had my gf download cod waw for custom zombies cause it sounded fun. already had Plut. downloaded for mw3 for the online servers so i figured a simple video tutorial on how to setup waw would be all i need. so we setup both our pc's and launched but when it came to making a simple private custom zombie game, there was no way for either of us join one another. we both tried adjusting game settings, using the xpartygo console command, we even tried the connect console command (example: "connect xx.xx.xxx.xxx:xxxxx") method. and it wouldn't let us double click the F10 friends list. it wont even allow us to get into a loading screen to join. i know this game is older for sure and the posts stopped around 2021, but i havent seen anything saying servers are completely busted, and i saw thru the in-game F10 menu there are still running servers with players in them, how do i play private???? plz help.
one thing i forgot to mention, we run on the same wifi, so vpn's wont help us in this case. -

Which IP did you use?

well i used my ip, considering it was the same address for me and my gf

Use your internal one not the external IP.
