BO2 ZM MOTD Hell's Retriever

When im trying to play ZM Mob Of The Dead with a friend and both try to upgrade the Hell's Retriever, he can but i cant. i cant throw it to the lava, It always comes back to me, it never goes away.
But my friend can, we always play with him being the host, cuz internet connection.
I want to know if that is a problem with me or its just normal in plutonium? We play on custom play, with basic mods (zombie counter and unlimited drink slots).

the thunder wall custom perk could make that happen but if you dont have that perk the idk
