Menu randomly opens and bugs out.

Esc menu constantly pops up randomly in the middle of zombies and co-op missions and doesn't always close right away. This has made playing zombies or coop with my friends or even solo nearly impossible and extremely frustrating. Does anyone know why this is happening or how to maybe fix it? Thank you!
