Dumb question about custom maps and mods

I downloaded the Solo EE mod for bo1, but mod says you can play with "other players" but since i remember that kind of mods or custom (anyways) only works on lan mode or there is no issue if i play online mode, so, if you can help me, i don't wanna get banned lol

Based on information provided in Plutonium’s documentation for the anticheat, under “What will not get me banned”; if the mod’s instructions tell you to follow this guide, you’ll be fine. I reckon you’ll also be fine if the mod uses this directory:
%localappdata%\Plutonium\storage\t5\scripts -
