Resolution Shenanigans
-
This was a lil annoying lol. When I opened up the application, it was all good. I signed in and selected T5 for BO1...but when I clicked on BO1 Zombies and it started booting up my game, the window for the game didn't automatically fill my screen. I went to click open the window manually, it played the intro for a few seconds and then immediately booted me out of the window and brought me back to my home screen. I noticed the game was still running, so I click the window again a few times and it crashes and I've have to close it. I also noticed my computer kept pulling up this notification talking about Optimal Resolution whenever I'd try to manually open up the window once, and that the recommended resolution be at 2560x1440. I didn't really get it at first since it was basically telling me what my own resolution was set to already, but I was thinking that maybe the recommended resolution that it was set to was bugging out the game somehow, so I changed the resolution down one and it started to play the intro just fine, and the skip worked AND the menu screen was working fine too. I tried configuring the in-game's resolution settings to see if over scaling in-game resolution past my computer's set resolution would crash the game again...it didn't, but I noticed something strange. It did the same thing as before where it booted me out of the game window, and that Optimal Resolution notification opened up again. So I go back to my resolution settings, and I can now see that there's in red letters above my resolution option, that some apps are on different resolution sets basically and that I needed to switch to a resolution that those apps could work at, and I set the resolution back to its standard and went back into the game. Now all of a sudden my standard resolution was ok now, for some reason, even though it never had a problem before when my computer's resolution is always set to standard and I know my in-game settings don't just change by themselves. Just thought that was a lil funny. If you guys are ever having this issue, looks like you just temporarily set you computer's resolution down to open the app, access its resolution settings, set it back to you computers normal resolution settings, then hop back into the app and it should just start working like normal again. At least that's how i fixed it.
