how to track hours on steam while using plutonium

It tracks the hours locally on my pc as soon as I exit steam or check the playtime on another device it reverts to the original low playtime.
I think it’s because it’s not tracking the game it’s tracking the launcher and how long that’s been open.
even by default it doesn’t track hours for some reason, and making it a non steam game doesn’t work cause it’s tracking if the launcher is open not the game.

anyway to Make it track hours that anyone knows of?
