Can you unregister your Steam copy of the game with Plutonium?

I do not have a steam copy of the game and have a disc copy instead. To host a server and have it listed, you need a server key which means you need to verify your steam copy of the game.
My friend has a steam copy of the game and will let me verify it as a copy of the game for my account but will only do this if this can be undone.
If I was to verify my plutonium account with my friends steam copy of waw, could this be undone so my friend could verify his copy of waw down the road with his plutonium account if he wishes to start hosting a server someday?

No, but you can register his copy through your steam account using steam family sharing.
