Help to use Steam Controller with BO2?

When BO2 was safe to play on steam version, I had a controller binding for my steam controller which emulates mouse and keyboard.
When I launch BO2 through plutonium, it seems to pick up my steam controller binding but it doesnt seem to take all the inputs, mouse clicks, aim and a couple others work, but no WASD/sprint. It seems as if Steam overlay is opened in the background as sometimes i can hear the steam overlay sounds when pressing other buttons. I wonder if it might be attatched to the script that opens alongside the game rather than the game itself?
Anyone use a steam controller or know how to help?

Plutonium does add native support for xinput controllers (by default XBox controllers) other controllers must use a translation layer to xinput. That should be rather easy if you add Pluto to Steam and select the generic XBox Controller Input.
