freezing when choosing options in bo2

Had plutonium on old pc. Carried the files over to my new pc. Installed plutonium. Ran bo2 when I choose options in game it freezes. You hear the music but can't do anything else. I try to join a server and game freezes. I have rebooted pc several times. Any advice?
