Gamepad greyed out in BO1

New to plutonium. I installed to play BO1. For the first 2 days, my wireless Xbox One controller worked without issue. Last night it stopped working. Gamepad showed enabled, so I disabled it thinking I could re enable it. That's when the text greyed out and wont let me click on it so I can re enable. I'm using a usb stick to help the connection (8bitdo from best buy). I did everything else mentioned. Steam is closed, all boxes are unchecked, I connected the controller before opening the launcher, and even uninstalled and reinstalled the launcher 3 separate times. I have no clue what else i can do, and playing with keyboard would ruin the experience for me. I checked to make sure it's working on steam and it is, just not in the plutonium launcher.

I figured it out, the USB stick (8bitdo) was the culprit. I connected the controller to bluetooth and its been working good ever since.
